The Sunriver Community Gardens is a community garden and allotment garden, located at 2380 Phillips Road, Sooke BC, is operated with the support of the District of Sooke.

- Openness - we lead with good governance and transparency
- Diversity - we welcome all levels of gardeners, ages and accessibility needs, public are welcome at any time.
- Commitment to the Land - we are committed to 100% organic gardening and thoughtful multi-use site management
- Community - we support local not-for-profits, welcome the public to gardens and host community events to encourage the public to try organic gardening.
Garden Management and Operations
The overall 2.5 acre site, with the exception of the orchard, is managed by Sunriver Community Gardens Society. The society does everything from managing the compost piles, acting as pod representatives, repairing equipment, tending the community garden spaces, creating the newsletter and so much more. There is a Sunriver Community Gardens Council - a group of plot holders who oversee operations. The primary purpose of the council is to:

- Ensure the gardens are well maintained and cared for
- Undertake the annual registration and renewals of all allotment garden plots
- Manage the wait list and responds to all enquiries
- Manage the allotment garden annual budget and collects the annual plot fees
- Recruit volunteers to assist in specific tasks – e.g. repairs, broken tools, composting, and water irrigation issues
- Seek reps from the 6 different pods to help us build garden neighbourhoods and a healthy engaging community garden
- Ensure the garden council acts in an inclusive way – open meetings
- Share minutes and posts next meeting dates
- Review the rules and regulations to ensure the garden operation serves all members and is seen as administratively fair
